The Making of a Floral Arrangement
Wedding floral arrangements can be placed all throughout your ceremony and reception. Here are a few of spaces that I recommend to clients on the optimal placement for visual impact and enjoyment:
Wedding table centerpieces
think of your wedding guests connecting, laughing and enjoying their time together while celebrating you as a couple
Guest Book Table:
this is a place where the excitement of documenting which guests joined in celebration the day of your marriage
Memorial Table:
to honor the ones you love that are unable to be with you physically
Cake Table:
i mean it’s a cake table, why wouldn’t you want put a fun floral arrangement around everyone’s favorite part of the meal
Here’s the process I use to design floral arrangements:
Floral Color Palette:
*When given the floral color palette for a wedding or event I see what flowers are available in-season
*I pick flowers that move and work well together
Shape:
*This depends on where the floral arrangement will be placed
*Most the time my floral designs are a flowing garden style
Placement:
*I layer groups of one type of flower, meaning I like to take one type of flower and make it’s own arrangement and then add the next flower and so on
Editting:
*I take a lot of photos of floral arrangements to see what I may need to move or what is really working
Wedding Day:
*The day of the wedding I will adjust as needed once placed on a table. There is movement when transporting and I want to make sure that it displays a piece of art on every table.
It takes time, patience and a whole lot of practice to bring a wedding floral arrangement to life for you on your wedding day. I love every minute of the process and my intention is for that it shows how much I really care about you as a couple and your day.
