Gallery in Bloom
Gallery in Bloom at The Rourke Art Museum was passion between artists, flower lovers and gardeners. As I reflect on the last few months of bringing this all together with Cady and Jonathon Rutter, the flower farmers and my creative brain, I would say that I am happily exhausted. Here you can hear Cady and I talk a little about the event on North Dakota Today
It was so cool to talk with 100 people about my love of what I do not only for my clients and community but for myself as well. As I talked with one woman, we bonded over how our gardens are soul reviving. That the earth and flowers bring a sense of calm where no other place can. My mind literally silences when I walk the flower farm. It’s incredible.
I’m very grateful for the people in my life that allow me to share my creativity in more ways than one through floral designs and installations. To share my floral designs on wedding days, bringing abundance with amazing flowers in my flower subscriptions and then also in spaces like the Rourke Art Museum, is a gift.
Next up at the Rourke, I will be adding floral designs and installations to The 64th Midwestern on June 18th. Oh the ideas I have already got bubbling up for this event!
These are just a few of the gorgeous flowers I received for the floral designs and installations at the Rourke. Sourcing from Massachusetts, Illinois, and Oregon.
That was the majority of my week last week and you will see photos soon from the amazingly talented Gabriel & Carissa Photography
These little babies are popping up in the gardens. Not necessarily where they are supposed to be but I love them so much I don’t care. Raspberry foliage is one of a very limited amount of greenery that I prefer to work with in all my floral designs. There is so much texture and sassiness with them, that I just had to grow them.
Be on the look out this season for more raspberry foliage in my designs.
