Flower Photography

This spring I had a spur of the moment flower photography session with Abby Anderson

I received flowers for a styled shoot from two amazing cut flowers farms. Peterkort Roses (Oregon) and Clara Joyce Flowers (Illinois). This was the first time I had order from each of these flower farms and they did not disappoint! The smells, freshness, vigor of the flowers brought tears to my eyes in absolute love and joy to support small sustainable flower farms. One day I hope to do the same to anyone that receives my flowers and floral designs.

When I received them, I contacted Abby immediately and said “drop everything, you need to experience these flowers”! Abby has an eye for photographing flowers and I knew she would cherish the time together as we chatted and captured the fine lines and story of the flowers.

Photography of flowers and floral designs show and highlight pieces and textures of flowers you might not see in real like. In the craft of color design theory, structure and creativity the flowers of floral designs tell a story all on their own. This is the creation of something magical.
